Child Protection Policy (Please also see our CRB policy below)
All leaders are required to undertake training in the Scout Association's Child Protection policy.
The Scout Association's Child Protection policy is known as the 'Young People First' policy. It's often referred to as the "yellow card" policy because of the pocket sized reminder card all adults are asked to keep and carry with them.
More details about the Policy can be found at: ScoutBaseUK - Child Protection.
Copies of the "yellow card" can be downloaded.

CRB Policy
All leaders and members of the committee have completed a Criminal Records Bureau disclosure application.
Furthermore, it is our policy that all parents and any other adults who attend, deliver children or assist in any way should also complete a disclosure application. There is no charge for this, so please co-operate with the Scout Leaders if asked to complete a form.
This helps us greatly when organizing support and transport for scouting activities.

Subscriptions Policy
We ask for all subscriptions to be paid for the entire term in advance.
Subscriptions are due for payment at the first meeting of each term.
Please pay promptly as we do not want our able leaders to have to spend unnecessary time on administrative matters that distract them from organizing all the activities that the young people enjoy.

Gift Aid
We can collect even more funds for the group if you are prepared to sign a Gift Aid form. If you have not signed a form, please download a copy and then fill it in and give it to the Leader or Committee Member who is collecting your subscriptions. The Government will give us an extra 28p for every pound that you pay!

No Smoking Policy
In line with current legislation, the Scout Hut is strictly No Smoking.
The committee would like to remind all users of the Hut of this policy. If users do not adhere to this policy, then they will not be allowed to make any further bookings.
